The Notice of Intent (NOI) informs the EPD that the project exists and will soon begin. The NOI also provides basic information about the site, including:
Owner/operator
Location
Land disturbance activity permit no.
Receiving waters
Certification that an Erosion, Sedimentation, and Pollution Control Plan has been prepared
The NOI must be submitted at least one week before construction begins. If more than 50 acres are to be disturbed, the ESPCP and CMP must be submitted to EPD with the NOI.
